Big Star Summer Workshops will be immersive, dynamic programs designed for individuals of all skill levels. The workshops will be held on Saturdays throughout the months of July and August.

Big Star 2024 Summer Workshops
Summer Acting Workshops with Mr. Eric
Workshops will run on the following Saturdays: 7/13, 7/20, 7/27, 8/3, 8/10, and 8/17, from 9 – 11 AM
Cost: $300
A note from Mr Eric: One thing I think we don’t get enough of at Big Star is ACTING opportunities that aren’t singing! The scenes in our Jr version shows are shortened, and only the leading roles REALLY get to speak. I want to give our actors a chance to MASTER their monologues, experiment with SHAKESPEARE, and also do in-depth SCENE WORK with partners and small groups! This class is going to be an AMAZING way to grow as an actor, a scene partner, and an auditioner. I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone wanting to take that next step in their acting journey! Summer Hip Hop Workshops with Jimmy Shields
Workshops will be held on Saturdays from 12pm-3pm on the following dates: 7/13, 7/20, 7/27, 8/3 and 8/10.
Cost: $300
The Summer Hip Hop Workshops will be an immersive, dynamic program designed for individuals of all skill levels who are passionate about hip hop dance and culture. The workshop offers a unique opportunity to learn from one of Seattle’s premiere Hip Hop Artists, Jimmy Shields. Jimmy will be taking over the Big Star Performing Arts Hip Hop program in September and is looking forward to working with our students both current and new to our program! Cost is $300 for the summer session and auditions. Students participating in our CPT Hip Hop program will need to attend at least four of the sessions over summer along with the auditions in August. • Classes will include: Warm up and conditioning, Technique, Choreography and Freestyle.
